Join The Tour

First to arrive, last to be accounted for. Carries what needs carrying, finds what has gone missing, and does not ask why the mango travels separately.

Reports to everyone. Reports to no one.

Supports the Assistant to the Tour Manager, who supports the Tour Manager. You will not meet the Tour Manager.

Instructions are relayed downward. Questions are not relayed upward.

Maintains the room. Adjusts lighting, temperature, and volume before anyone thinks to ask for it.

Must be able to tell the difference between a quiet room and a silent one. The Director of Mood post is not currently filled.

Oversees backstage catering to specification. Sorts one (1) bowl of only the green ones, by hand, nightly.

Declines substitutions. Keeps a written record of what was offered and what was accepted.

Owns ice, end to end. Crushed only. Cubed ice has not been approved and will not be approved for the duration of this tour.

Sources locally in all twelve cities and answers for texture.

Confirms the ripeness of a single mango before doors, every night, in twelve cities. One mango. No substitutes.

The role does not include cutting the mango.

Handles service, temperature, and spoon selection. Metal spoons are not used and the reason is not discussed.

Works closely with the Vice President of Crushed Ice and has done so without incident.

Procures champagne across twelve cities on a moving schedule.

Reports to the Head of Champagne Procurement. The Head of Champagne Procurement is no longer with the tour. The post has not been filled and the reporting line has not been updated.

Maintains the list. Adds names, removes names, and defends both decisions at the door.

Handwritten additions are permitted. Handwritten removals are not.

Determines how things look, which is a separate matter from how things are. Present at load-in, at soundcheck, and anywhere a photograph might occur.

Does not comment on the show itself.

Handles what the other roles do not cover.
